Dr. Melinda Moretz - Chairperson


William B. Jeter - Vice-Chairman

William B. Jeter is President of the Jeter Stores, Inc. He is a lifelong resident of Union, SC and was born at Wallace Thomson Hospital. He is married to Jill Stark of Alexandria, Virginia. They have two adult children.

Mr. Jeter is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Jeter has served on various boards through his career including Chairman of the Salvation Army Advisory Board and also as Chairman of the Union District of the Boy Scouts. He is a retired officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard and is currently a cattle farmer, a master tree grower with hobbies that include restoration of historic properties. He currently serves as a board member with the Union County Historical Society and also serves as a Commissioner for the Union County Soil Water Conservation District and is Chairman of the Delegation from Union on South Carolina Forestry Commission. He has been a board member of the Union County Health Care Foundation since 2005 and has served as vice-chairman since 2008.

Dr. John Baarcke

Dr. John Baarcke is a life long resident of Union, SC. He graduated from Presbyterian College and MUSC College of Dental Medicine with a Doctorate in Medical Dentistry in 1977. Dr. Baarcke has practiced general dentistry in Union for over 35 years. He is active in the community being a member of the Union Rotary Club as well a member of the Union County Hospital Foundation. Dr. Baarcke is also very active in his church, The Episcopal Church of the Nativity, serving in many capacities. Currently, Dr. Baarcke serves as the treasurer of the church. He is married to Nancy and they are the parents of two grown daughters and one grandson.

Greta Bailey, Executive Director

Greta Bailey is a native of Union County. She is a 1995 graduate of Jonesville High School and graduated the University of South Carolina in 1998 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. After receiving her law degree in 2003, she moved back to her hometown of Jonesville. Greta became Executive Director of the Union County Health Care Foundation and Volunteer Coordinator for Wallace Thomson Hospital in 2014. Greta and her husband, Travis, have two children, Andrew, 12 and Ella, 4. Greta sits on the boards of The Miracle League of Union County, the Union Civitan Club and PRO-Parents of SC. She is a member of the Junior Charity League of Union County. Greta is also a state representative for South Carolina for the National Down syndrome Society and is a recent graduate of Partners in Policymaking, which is funded by the SC Developmental Disabilities Council.

Pete Berry

Peter D Berry was born in Augusta, Georgia, and was raised in Union, SC. In 1965 he received his AB degree from Wofford College, and his MBA from USC 15 months later. After serving 2 years in the army as a 1Lt during the Vietnam era, he moved with his wife, Harriett and first son to Atlanta where he was in the commercial real estate development business.
Ten years later he returned to Union to purchase his family's lumber business. In the 30 plus years living in Union he has served on and has chaired numerous local and state civic boards, commissions, and committees. He is now retired and continues to serve on several boards.

Mickey Connolly

Mickey Connolly was born in York, SC. He is a graduate of Limestone College and holds a Master's Degree from Gardner Webb University. He is an employee of Union County Schools and has been for 30 years. He served as principal of Monarch Elementary School and is presently the principal at Sims Middle School.

Mickey is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Union where he has served as Youth Leader and an Elder of the church. He is married to the former Tracy Davis and has 2 daughters, Lindsey and Erin.

Ginger Fant

Mrs. Ginger W. Fant, a retired educator, is a graduate of Clemson University and Converse College.  She is married to Alexander Scott Fant, Junior. Both Mrs. Fant and her husband are members of the Church of the Nativity.  While being involved in many charitable and social clubs, Mrs. Fant's children (Meredith and Lee) and husband have always been her cynosure.  By serving on the Union Health Care Foundation board, Mrs. Fant hopes to make a contribution to a very deserving cause.

Mitzy Fowler

Mitzy Fowler is an Account Executive with Gentiva Home Health. Mitzy has been a Union County Foundation Board member since 2006. She has served her community in various healthcare capacities over the years including working at Wallace Thomson Hospital for 21 years and currently at a home health organization. She is a very active community member and has served on the Pace Center Board, United Way Board, Union County School Board, and the American Red Cross. She enjoys peaceful strolls, cooking, and spending time with her husband, Mike Fowler, and daughter, Magen.

Bill Graham

Bill Graham was born in Wallace Thomson Hospital and grew up in Union, SC. He graduated from Wofford College. He is married and has three children and a wonderful grandchild. Operated a local flower shop for 44 years. Retired, but still involved in commercial real estate.

Brent Greer

Brent Greer is a Southern Regional Technical and Sales Manager for Palmetto Textile-Reed and Machine Works living in Buffalo, SC. He is married to Rhonda Johnson Greer. They have one son, Matthew Brent Greer. Mr. Greer has a BS Degree in Business Administration/ Accounting/ Finance from Winthrop University. He is a board member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, on the Board of Trustees at Wallace Thomson Hospital, Vice-Chairman of Deacons and Sunday School Director at First Baptist Church in Lockhart, SC. He enjoys horses, road cycling and classic cars,

Mr. Greer has been a board member of the Union County Health Care Foundation since 2010.

Dr. Natashia Jeter

Dr. Natashia Jeter is a board certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist practicing in Union, SC since January, 2012. She is a native of Union and left to further her undergraduate education at Clemson University and medical school at The Medical University of SC in Charleston. She then completed her residency with Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. Upon completion she practiced medicine in Statesville, NC for several years before deciding to return to her hometown. She has always enjoyed being involved in church and community activities and plans to serve Union in the same manner. She is most importantly, the proud mother of a daughter, Karrah Bethany.

Mary Anne Miller

Mary Anne is a native of Spartanburg, SC, and has lived in various states on the east coast over the past 37 years before moving to Union. She is married to The Rev. Louis O. Miller, Jr., Vicar, of Nativity Episcopal Church, Union and Calvary, Glenn Springs. She attended the University of South Carolina, Upstate, Belmont Abbey, Belmont, NC, Roberson College, Lumberton, NC, for Liberal Arts, Business Management and Marketing. She is a board member of Breaking New Ground/Union Event Center, member of Union Lion's Club, Daughters of the King, International, and Episcopal Church Women. She and her husband have three grown children and eight grandchildren and stated, "they are delighted to be in Union where southern hospitality extends a hand and greets with a smile."

Paul Newhouse

Paul Newhouse was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. He has worked in the healthcare field for over 25 years both domestically in the US and Internationally in London, England; Geneva, Switzerland; and Paris, France. He has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida and a Master's Degree in Business Administration studying at Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland and Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia.

He began his career working in hospital financial operations, before taking his first CFO position at a Charter Medical hospital in Switzerland. Upon returning to the US, three years later he took on several other CFO roles in the acute care field while adding on the responsibility of Assistant Administrator, managing the ancillary clinical operations of Elbert Memorial Hospital in Georgia. In 2001, he and his family moved to Paris and began a tour of four years as Manger of International Operations for Universal Health Services in the French corporate office of the 14 hospital owned Medi-Partenaires Company in Paris, France.

Returning once again to the US in August of 2005 after the sale of the French company, he took on several CEO roles for Regency Hospital of Covington, Louisiana, and Triumph Hospital of West Jefferson, in the New Orleans area.

In August 2012, he was named CFO for the Union Hospital District and was then offered the CEO position in March of 2013.

Paul is married to Julia and has a son, Christopher. He enjoys being active in the community and has served in various roles in several community Chambers of Commerce and on the Boards of two not for profit organizations. He also enjoys singing, playing guitar, boating, sailing, snow skiing, cycling, traveling and recording it all with photography.

Kris Oxner

Kristin Oxner graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1987 with a BA in English. She was a member of the Junior League of Columbia, SC from 1993- 1996 and the Junior League of Spartanburg, SC from 1996-1998. She was also a member of the Fleur-De-Lis Garden Club from 1996-1998. Mrs. Oxner was a Ballet of Spartanburg Board Member from 1996-1999, a Volunteer Substitute Driver for Meals on Wheels from 1996- 2000, and a Union County Arts Council Board Member from 1997-1999. She has been apart of the Union Cotillion Club since 1996 and the Secretary of the Union Cotillion Club from 2005-2007. She is the Co-Founder of The Happy Times Book Club from 1999- present, the Secretary for the Union Events Center Board of Directors from 2010- present and has been a Union County Health Care Foundation since 2011.

Chris Woodson

Chris Woodson is originally from Fountain Inn SC, where he graduated from Woodmont High School in 1991. Chris then attended Francis Marion University and received his Bachelor’s degree in 1995.  Chris then went on to work as a Health Physicist for the Bureau of Radiological Health with the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control. He married his lovely wife Ashley in September 2001 and moved to Union. While in Union, Chris has been very active in the community; he served on the Union County Arts Council, has been in several Boogaloo Folk Life Production Plays, is currently a member of The Rotary Club of Union and is the current VP of Radio for the SCBA.  Chris was offered the General Manager position at 1460 WBCU in April 2003, and has served in that capacity ever since. Chris and his wife Ashley have a daughter, Calista, who was born in 2003.
